Oak & Main is a cabinetry shop. At least, it was when I started.
Before I became a Certified Interior Designer, I was a carpenter.
I built cabinets, hung doors, and made furniture.
But eventually I realized that I like to color outside the lines just a little too much. I found myself drawing on my love of color and quirky design, and before I knew it I was spending more time painting murals than ripping plywood.
Oak & Main is for the people who want their space to reflect their personality. It’s for my clients who want to hide their clutter but display their taxidermied butterfly collection, or who choose their couch color according to what looks best with their dog.
No build is too big, and no whim is too whimsical.
When I’m not in my design studio, you can find me on climbing trips with my husband and 2 dogs. We travel in a vintage sunshine yellow camper named Sylvie.
At Oak & Main, I care about people.
I care about LGBTQIA+ people. I care about people of color. I care about women in the trades, and trans people using their preferred restrooms. I care about people impacted by climate change. I care about people having access to their reproductive rights, and about people with disabilities.
I care about having clients who care.
If that’s not you, I think you’d best move along.
