We have an awkward hallway in our house that holds our laundry machines. It was dark and boring, and Hunter made it into a space that draws attention in a good way. She designed a mural that matches the personality and vibe of the rest of our house. It uses colors and motifs we love to bring an element of fun to an otherwise utilitarian and unappealing space. The laundry hallway is still cramped, but now it’s a place that brings some joy to our home.

Emma:

I booked Oak & Main for a one-hour virtual consultation to talk through some basic kitchen updates I was doing myself. The project included removing old backsplash, choosing and applying new backsplash tiles, and sanding and painting kitchen cabinets. Hunter answered all of my questions in detail, giving specific recommendations for products she recommends, including their pros and cons. She not only helped inform me on technical aspects of the job, but also more aesthetic ones. We split the consultation into a couple different sessions, and she was also available for one-off messaging if I had a quick question during the project. I highly recommend Oak & Main for virtual consultations and only wish I lived in the area to hire them directly!

Hunter has a great eye for design and can see spaces as finished rooms from the very beginning. She caught on to my style quickly and had recommendations for furniture stores, thrift stores and salvage yards where I could find what I was looking for. She’s easy going and fun to collaborate with and makes the daunting task of buying furniture/fixtures/rugs a straightforward and enjoyable process. Highly recommend!

Hunter did an amazing job being the design expert for our wedding! She understood and executed our vision so well and just made everything come together perfectly. She even went so far as foraging for appropriate wildflowers when some of our flowers did not arrive. Could not recommend her design services more highly!
